Tracpipe BSP Male Gas Pipe Fittings

BSi KitemarkBSi Kitemarked to British Standard BS7838. Satisfies the requirements of BS 6891 for sleeved pipe.

TracPipe BSP Male Gas pipe Fittings are designed to connect TracPipe flexible gas pipe as well as connect to traditional gas pipe fittings in iron, malleable, steel, copper etc. No tape or jointing compounds are needed on the fitting and the fittings require no special tools or heat to form a gas safe joint. Silicone tape is used however to ensure there is no corrosion to the stainless steel pipe. The range is suitable f or natural gas, propane or butane up to working pressures of 75mbar.

The male BSP gas pipe fittingsare manufactured in brass and they are BS 7838 Approved, Tested by Advantica and BSI Kitemarked, they conform toall Gas Industry Standards in the U.K.

All of the TracPipe autoflare fittings are easy to use as they are self-flaring, self-piloting joint seals that tighten with a normal spanner. At correct torques they form safe, gas-tight connections. TracPipe Autoflare Fittings terminate and connect both TracPipe Flexible Gas Pipe Full Coils and TracPipe Semi-rigid Gas Pipe Cut Lengths

Jointing flexible gas pipe with autoflare fittings
EachAutoFlare fitting uses a back nut and 2 split rings.
Simply slide the nut back over the cut pipe end, the two split rings will be aligned with the first corrugation of the pipe.
Slide the nut forward to trap the split rings.
Align the AutoFlare fitting with the back nut and hand tighten the threads then use an appropriate spanner size to tighten the fitting until it is tight.
Torque should be applied similar to that used when making up a flaredpipe joint.
